Former JLL Apac CEO Anthony Couse joins Elevate Capital as partner

Couse spent more than 35 years at JLL. His previous role at the firm was as Apac chief executive officer, a position he kept between 2016 and January 2025. Prior to that, he was regulating director for Eastern China and Shanghai for over a decade, and also employed 12 years at JLL’s Hong Kong office.

Elevate Capital Group has really released the appointment of Anthony Couse as a partner. According to a Sept 8 press release, Couse, the former CEO for Asia Pacific (Apac) at JLL, will work with Elevate establisher and regulating partner Ashish Manchharam to “accelerate the company’s development, with a purpose on scaling investor partnerships, broadening purchases, and enhancing possession monitoring plans”.

Manchharam also started his career at JLL. He spent beyond 12 years at the company, where he worked on investment offers and capital markets throughout Hong Kong, Singapore, and the larger area. In 2014, he departed JLL and consequently founded realty investment company 8M Real Estate. In 2023, Manchharam exited 8M Real Estate, offering his share in the business to Hong Kong-based Crane Capital for a concealed sum.

In August 2024, Elevate obtained Stamford Court, a commercial building on Hill Street in the Downtown Core, in a joint project with PGIM Real Estate for $132 million. Repositioning and asset improvement works are currently being performed at the property development, which is targeted to resume in the very first part of 2026.

The next year, he opened Elevate. Based in Singapore, the boutique property financial investment and property management firm specialises in “lifestyle-centric real property investments”.
