Sunway Property launches Sunway Majestic with 70% of buyers from Malaysia, 30% from Singapore
Sunway Majestic marks Sunway Property’s first project in JBCC and the city center’s first SOHO flats. Sunway Majestic has 1- to 3-bedroom SOHO units commencing at RM400,000, with the possibility to customise under Sunway Property’s distinct Design to Own concept. This rate point sits well just within the selection looked for by 72% of surveyed buyers (RM1 million and below), the Sunway news release claims.
” Homebuyers here are discerning and believe long term,” said Gerard Soosay, Sunway Property Ceo (Southern Region). “Johor Bahru’s appeal is genuine, yet expectations are greater: neighborhoods should be safe, connected, and versatile to cross-border lifestyles. That is the requirement we are constructing towards. Our duty as Malaysia’s Master Community Developer is to satisfy this developing landscape with a long-lasting view, co-investing in the locations we build and remaining true to our assurance of being With You For Generations.”
Sunway Majestic is also section of Sunway Property’s The BIG Deal campaign, featuring 16 Signature Projects and New Launches throughout Klang Valley, Johor, Ipoh, and Penang. Running from now until Nov, the campaign offers RM10 million in funds incentives, along with special packages and buyer incentives.
The property development features multi-tiered security systems. Connectivity is improved with a dedicated transport assistance to the RTS, a walkway connection to Hutan Bandar, and access to surrounding shopping centers, schools, and medical care facilities. It is adjacent to Sunway Commercial Square, a retail center for shopping and dining to be taken care of by Sunway Malls.
Sunway Property has recently introduced Sunway Majestic, its first project in Johor Bahru City Centre (JBCC) and the city hub’s first SOHO apartments. With property period, a location simply 3 km from the upcoming Johor Bahru– Singapore Rapid Transit System (RTS) Link, and beside Sunway Commercial Square, the property is purposefully placed for both own-stay buyers seeking city-centre convenience and investors wanting to catch cross-border rental requirement.
Johor is taking advantage of major plan and facilities catalysts. The Johor– Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ), formalised earlier on this year, is assumed to bring in significant investment and trade circulations. On the other hand, the RTS Link, linking Bukit Chagar (JB) to Woodlands (Singapore) by late 2026, will trim cross-border trip to just 6 minutes.
Buyers to date show Johor Bahru’s cross-border profile, with 30% Singaporeans and 70% Malaysians (of that 60% work in Singapore). Purchases are largely for personal stay (70%), with 30% for financial investment.
According to an independent study by Milieu, commissioned by Master Community Developer Sunway Property (June 2025) to evaluate Singaporeans’ interest in Johor real properties, almost half (48%) of surveyed property applicants are considering Johor Bahru for their next acquisition– 83% of whom currently own property in Singapore.
