How Gen Z consumers and the ‘trust economy’ are changing the mall experience
An additional 113 companies got the Company of Good– 3 Hearts acknowledgment, including 8M Real Estate, Banyan Tree Holdings, Far East Orchard, OUE REIT Management and Savills (Singapore).
Small and medium-sized ventures accounted for most of recipients, making up 376 organizations, or 78% of the overall.
A total of 481 businesses were acknowledged as Companies of Good by the National Volunteer and Philanthropy Centre (NVPC) this year, as the initiative noted its 10th commemoration. The recognition honours businesses that produce good social effect in Singapore.
The statement was made at NVPC’s Firm of Good Conference and Conferment held on July 20 at Fairmont Singapore, which saw around 700 business managers got together.
“Ten years on, Company of Good has shown that Corporate Purpose is progressively emerging as an essential part of how organisations produce value for their stakeholders and the wider society,” states Tony Soh, PRESIDENT, NVPC.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry Gan Kim Yong governed the activity, presenting the Champion of Good grants, while Senior Minister of State for Culture, Community and Youth, and Trade and Industry Low Yen Ling provided the Business of Good– 3 Hearts awards.
“As we look ahead, NVPC is going to focus on reinforcing the community of Firms of Good and allowing organisations to gain from one another, collaborate throughout businesses and sectors and develop influence together,” adds Soh.
This year’s associate includes 177 Firm of Good– 1 Heart receivers, amongst them Colliers, Fraxtor, Craig Road Property, Ngee Koon, and Momentus Hotel Alexandra.
At the same time, 63 companies were given the Champ of Good award– the highest tier of the recognition system– consisting of Kuok (Singapore), Lendlease Global Commercial Trust Management, Mapletree Investments and TS Group.
Over the past 3 years, 1,046 acknowledged Companies of Good have actually jointly provided close to $384 million in funds donations, more than $85 million in contributions in-kind, and more than 1.1 million volunteer hours.
